I am an EMT in a very republican area. Today I had a call for service. As an EMT we are required to ask some questions to determine if a person is mentally competent. They are easy questions, if you are confused answering them it gives us an insight if you are not in your right mind. Usually the question are:
1. Do you know what city you are in? Believe it or not, some folks have no idea or will say a city they once lived in.
2. Do you know what year it is? Some folks, especially Alzheimer disease sufferers will state a year from decades ago.
3. Do you know who the president is? Easy answer, BUT TODAY I had the best answer ever. She stated “Yep, the combover clown.”
Now, as a professional, I am not suppose to react to any of these answers, just jot down the answers and determine if the patient is mentally competent. I did inwardly laugh at her answer though. And I think that would be the PERFECT response by any of the Democratic presidential candidates when Trump insults them.
